| About our speaker: |
![]() Kate Penney Howard is a genetic genealogist, specializing in brick wall work, HighRoH, and endogamy. During a bout with cancer, she discovered that she loves sharing her knowledge with other genealogists. She is intentional about addressing injustice and myths in her presentations. |
| She has presented at RootsTech, East Coast Genetic Genealogy Conference, Illinois Genealogical Society, the International Congress on Medieval Studies, NAAP/RTK’s Untangling Our Roots, and the General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Future speaking engagements include Rootstech 2025 and Ohio Genealogical Society 2025, as well as local library & genealogical society presentations. Kate studied vocal music and earned a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis in 2011, and has been pastor of North Christian Church since her ordination in 2012. She joins us from Columbia City, Indiana. |
| Upcoming Chapter Meetings |
| As the new year will be upon us shortly, we are continuing to provide a hybrid option for most of our meetings. Registration links include the option to select in-person or zoom. We are absolutely flexible if you need to switch your registration attendance. This year’s meetings may be at a different location near to where we are now. They also may begin a bit earlier, 6:30 pm. We will keep you posted on any changes. Future meetings include: Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 6:30 pm: Teresa Devine will talk about developing our skills as genealogists in From Hobby to Profession.
