| Driving directions | From the Montopolis Bridge where US 183 crosses the Colorado River, drive south about 1 mile, turn left at the last crossover before 183/71. Go 220 ft and turn right on to Old Bastrop Hwy. Travel .5 mi and turn left on Dalton Lane and go .6 miles. Turn right on Sherman Rd and proceed .5 miles to the end of the road. Cross the cattle guard onto the land of the Simnacher family. Gravesite is walled enclosure 100 yards ahead at slightly left. |
